2020 is the 75 th Anniversary of Victory in World War II. Michigan played a vital role in this victory. Not only did over 600,000 Michigan residents serve in World War II, the entire state of Michigan played a critical role in our victory as the Arsenal of Democracy. To commemorate the preservation of our freedom through the sacrifices of the people of Michigan, the MI Freedom Center and the Yankee Air Museum are teaming up to launch the Michigan Freedom Tour!
The Yankee Lady is the same model of WWII bomber made famous by the Memphis Belle and the American 8th Air Force in Europe.
The Yankee Warrior is the same model of WWII bomber made famous by Doolittle Raid on Tokyo launched from the deck of the U.S.S. Hornet only five months after the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
Hairless Joe is the same model of WWII transport aircraft made famous during the airborne paratrooper assaults on D-Day and during Operation Market Garden.
If you or a loved one served our nation in the military, we would like to give you an opportunity to get a free ride on one of the Yankee Air Museum's classic World War II aircraft.
Sponsors are the key to making these free rides available to our veterans.Sponsor a ride, a site, or the overall tour. Not only will sponsors have an opportunity to honor the service of our veterans, they will also have an economical marketing opportunity for earned media.
Win for veterans. Win for sponsors. Win for Michigan.
